Alpha™
The next evolution from EVOLV DESIGNS — a rotary shoulder connection engineered with programmed load transfer architecture.
Built on a deeper understanding of how elastic deformation and geometric taper mismatch influence thread behavior, the Alpha™ applies a programmed pitch law to control the progression of engagement from the first thread to the last. Rather than allowing random flank contact or uncontrolled torque scatter, the system manages the microscopic changes in effective pitch that occur under load, producing a predictable and stable torque response.
This programmed behavior creates a progressive load path, improving shoulder compression, enhancing bending stability, and delivering a more uniform stress distribution across the thread stack. The result is a connection that makes up smoother, holds torque more consistently, and maintains superior alignment — distributing stress more efficiently and delivering higher torque capacity without increasing risk of over-makeup under demanding drilling conditions.

Nebula VME™
EVOLV Designs' next generation casing connection engineered for high torque, high fatigue life, and gas tight reliability.
Built around a variable pitch shoulder system and multi-surface load transfer geometry, Nebula™ VME delivers exceptional torsional performance while maintaining minimal critical cross-sectional area for improved flexibility and fatigue resistance.
The connection incorporates internal mating shoulders, optional dual metal-to-metal seals, and a step taper thread architecture that supports both ferrous and lightweight non-ferrous alloys. Full scale design analysis shows Nebula™ achieving 10% to 90% higher torsional capacity than comparable connections — with an average torque increase of 60% at the same OD and ID.
Nebula™ VME is designed to be strong, reliable, gas tight, and lightweight, making it ideal for advanced casing applications requiring high torque, high cyclic fatigue life, and secure sealing integrity.

The SWOOSH™ connection is an advanced tubular thread system developed within the family of EVOLV DESIGNS to deliver superior fatigue life, predictable torque performance, and reliable make up in demanding drilling environments. Originally engineered for high dogleg HDD applications, the geometry evolved into a versatile connection platform used across forged drillpipe, casing, and specialty tubulars.
Backed by extensive testing — including multi-cycle fatigue evaluation, torsion to failure trials, and 3D FEA stress modeling — the SWOOSH™ connection demonstrates exceptional durability under bending, axial load, and torsional stress. Full scale tests show stable make up behavior, no galling after repeated cycles, and ultimate torque values exceeding 56,000 ft-lbs in aluminum/steel hybrid samples.
With proven performance in both HDD and casing applications, SWOOSH™ provides operators with a connection that maintains structural integrity, reduces stress concentrations, and extends service life in harsh drilling conditions.
